Path To Salvation

Even if you are unable to join us at First Baptist Church, we want to extend God's welcome into His family to you. We wish to briefly share the good news of Christ's sacrifice with you below and lay out the steps the Bible gives to accepting Christ as your Savior and entering the family of God. Even if we do not see you in this life, we hope to see you in Heaven for the eternal life of blessing and worship God has gifted us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

1. Accept that You have Sinned

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-"

-Romans 5:12

2. Accept that the Penalty for Your Sin is Death and an Eternity in Hell

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

-Romans 6:23

3. Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Lived a Perfect Life and Died for Your Sin

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

-Romans 5:8

4. Believe that God Raised Christ from the Dead Proving His Power Over both Sin and Death

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,"

-1 Peter 1:3

5. Call Out in Faith to God for Salvation through Jesus Christ

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

-Romans 10:9

6. Experience Peace with God and Live According to His Will and Spirit

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

-Romans 8:1
