ABOUT US
We are an independent Baptist church that wishes to see the Gospel sewn in our local neighbourhood of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey and surrounding Atlantic County areas. We seek to worship our Saviour and spread His Gospel to the small part of the world He has entrusted to us. We seek to obey Christ when He commanded His disciples, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature."
About Our Pastor
Pastor Paul Ort has been serving First Baptist Church faithfully for over 25 years. He and his wife, Spring, followed God's will for them to move to New Jersey and take on the daunting task of serving a church that had the same pastor for over 40 years at the time. With God's help, they faced the task head on and have not looked back. While serving the family of believers at FBC, they also raised their own two daughters, Jessica and Alicia. Both have had their own impact on the church and community; Alicia still serves in the church, while Jessica raises her own two children with her husband in North Carolina. The Ort family would love to see the family of First Baptist Church grow and the community that they have grown to love come to know Christ as their Savior!

WELCOME FROM THE PASTOR
Let me be the first to extend to you our warmest welcome. Our little church desires to model our Lord Jesus in every way we can. Certainly, we will fall short in this endeavour, but we do strive for His likeness. Jesus' love compels us to try and live His love for others. So please, have a seat as we attempt together to honour Jesus in our words and actions.
You are so very welcome!

Our trustees are some the most dependable members of our church that keep track of finances and the condition of our church both physically and spiritually. Together with Pastor Ort, they work toward the betterment of our church and service to the community. They also use their God-given and practiced talents to improve the building, such as setting up electrical fixtures, working the sound system, painting, yard-work, etc. They are true servants of God to the church and community.
